My sister D.M. has been a resident at Goldolphin House for 12 years. She has been very well cared for as she is more or less totally disabled, but able to feed herself. The carers are all very kind and see to her needs and often go out of their way to help in the way of shopping. I visit 3 times weekly and find both staff and management very friendly. I have seen the meals prepared with the best of ingredients. I have recommended the home to lots of folk during the last 12...  ...more

My husband has been here for 3 months and is very well cared for and comfortable. He is treated with respect and kindness and his many needs are well catered for. I can visit him at any time. The food is excellent. The other residents are happy and all have good relationships with the carers and management. There are activities in groups and for individuals, staff take time to chat with residents, their spiritual needs are met and all the staff seem to genuinely care for...  ...more

My sister-in-law went into the home this summer. We have been trying to get her to move into a home for a long time owing to severe health problems. Now she is at Godolphin I have not seen her so happy for several years. So well cared for, clean and tidy. Nothing is too much trouble. She does knitting, flower arranging (which she's never done before) also baking contests, bingo and parties. I just wish she had moved there earlier.  ...more

It is wonderful to see my sister Margaret so happy and cared for. She was reluctant to move in at first, but because of increasing problems she realised it was the best thing to do. Her family took her out last week, it was to be for the whole day, but come lunch time she wanted to return to Godolphin House, so she didn't miss the afternoon activities, which is amazing. The staff are always very welcoming whenever I visit my sister.

I have visited the home regularly over the past 5 years and was delighted with care, compassion and kindness my 'aunt' (my mother's life long friend, whom I have known closely all my life) received. Auntie settled in right away enjoying all aspects of the home life especially her lovely meals and selection of cakes they had with their afternoon tea (something different every day).  ...more

Godolphin House is the best care home I have ever visited ( I worked in a private home for 3 1/2 years). Care is equal to none and the food is excellent. Patients well dressed, clean and tidy. No smells greet you on arrival as most homes. No urine smells only a good food smell. Management always very helpful, staff lucid and solicitous.  ...more

The staff are caring and helpful. The manager, Ann Marsh is very friendly, cares about all the patients (residents) and has a calming influence. She has a professional relationship with the staff, but friendly. There is ongoing plans for improvement and development. The residents are given activities and involvement in development of the care home.  ...more
